When the Mitchell family began bonding whiskey 135 years ago, they brought their own colourful legacy to the Dublin whiskey scene. After generations of a family business covering everything from confectionery to cafes to imported wines, when the Mitchells brought their eclectic energy to whiskey bonding, the Spot family was born. To celebrate this enduring relationship, we created our most vibrant Spot release to date – Gold Spot.
Gold Spot is matured for at least nine years in Bourbon Barrels, Sherry Butts, Bordeaux Wine Casks and Port Pipes. Non chill filtered and bottled at 51.4% ABV for a whiskey that is complex and full flavoured.
Nose:
Opens with a bouquet of autumnal berries that develop into notes of apple and pear before evolving into rich stone fruits. These are intertwined with layers of wood spices, vanilla and perfumed wine undertones.
Palate:
Rich pot still spices with vibrant fruits enhanced by the delicate oak tannins and wood spices. While the sweet influences of the charred and toasted oak deliver a character that embellishes the unique mix of wine-seasoned casks.
Finish:
Rich and lasting with the intricate nature of the wine casks and pot still spices lingering.
With our FREE Click & Collect service, you can now place your order up to 12 hours in advance of collection and pick it up from one of our convenient collection points in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 in Dublin airport or in Cork airport (72 hours in advance for Cork).

Terminal 1 Arrivals: After you pass through Customs and enter the Arrivals Hall, the Click & Collect desk is conveniently located on your right.
Terminal 2 Departures: After you pass through the security screening area, walk through the shopping area and you will see the Click & Collect Collection Desk at the end of the walkway.
Terminal 2 Arrivals: Immediately after you pass through the customs screening area, you will see Dublin & Cork Airport Duty Free arrivals shopping area on your right. Our collection point is located here.
Cork:
Departures: Directly after security, at the Click & Collect desk in Dublin & Cork Airport Duty Free store
Arrivals: At the Information Desk in the Arrivals Hall
