Tasting Notes

• Warm amber in colour. A nose of lemon tuile and walnut brittle with dried red fruits, hints of liquorice root complement fresh-baked sourdough and earthy smoke. Bright notes of candied lemon and fresh mango dance with cracked peppercorns and dark chocolate. Pine resin leads to waves of intense, characterful peat smoke. A sophisticated exchange of lingering campfire smoke, velvety lemon cream and aromatic pine to finish.

  • For over 240 years, Bowmore distillery has stood on the shores of Lochindaal. Here facing the wild Atlantic Ocean, is home to the legendary No.1 Vaults and the mysterious alchemy within. We are more than an Islay distillery. We are the first licensed distillery here.
    From the careful and intentional ethos at the heart of the Bowmore distillery, every step and stage of the process is considered. We put flavour first. Taking traditional techniques and uniting them with creative vision we can ensure that each component plays its part. From floor maltings and peat smoke drying, to the long fermentation and slow distillation. The result of this precise and measured approach can be seen in the distinct flavours that Bowmore is famous for. A truly multidimensional whisky always promising more layers of flavour.

  • With our FREE Click & Collect service, you can now place your order up to 12 hours in advance of collection and pick it up from one of our convenient collection points in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 in Dublin airport or in Cork airport (72 hours in advance for Cork).
    Prefer to travel handsfree? You can shop online before you fly and collect your purchases on your arrival back into Ireland. We only need 12 hours* to prepare your order and we’ll have it ready and waiting for you at the Click & Collect desk in the Arrivals Hall.     Terminal 1 Arrivals: After you pass through Customs and enter the Arrivals Hall, the Click & Collect desk is conveniently located on your right.
    Terminal 2 Departures: After you pass through the security screening area, walk through the shopping area and you will see the Click & Collect Collection Desk at the end of the walkway.
    Terminal 2 Arrivals: Immediately after you pass through the customs screening area, you will see Dublin & Cork Airport Duty Free arrivals shopping area on your right. Our collection point is located here.
